Your support helped share God's truth with refugees desperate for the hope Jesus offers!
God is moving in an amazing way in the lives of refugees across the Middle East – and your prayers and gifts are helping transform lives. With your help, our global refugee ministry team recently held outreaches in 5 cities – and lives were changed for eternity!
In one city, we held an outreach event at a house church, where we met a couple from southern Iraq. They were forced to leave their homes after members of a Shi’a militia threatened to kill them because they were Sunni Muslims. After talking with them for awhile, they both trusted in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins!
In another town, we met a man named “Aqeel,” a Muslim from Baghdad. He told us he wanted to become a Christian, but didn’t really understand what that meant. So we shared the Gospel with him, and he trusted in Jesus. And together with the house church leaders, we baptized Aqeel and 2 others.
Others we visited wanted to be baptized as well – but we didn’t have enough water! So we shared with them that their faith is enough, and that they could get baptized some time in the future.
As we traveled to a different city, we met with refugees who have no church. So we utilized an Iranian church building where we preached the Gospel and invited people to trust in Jesus Christ. Many responded to our invitation – and asked us to tell the American church to continue praying for them in their suffering.
All in all, you helped feed and share God’s message of hope with hundreds of refugees in the Middle East – and more than 100 of them gave their lives to Jesus Christ!
